Maine Red Claws dancers wanted

PORTLAND — Want to be a dancer at the Maine Red Claws games starting this fall? You've got a month and a half to get your moves down.

The Red Claws, an NBA D-League team that will play home games at the Portland Expo Building, is looking for a dance team to perform at home games and participate in various community and team events.

Auditions are scheduled for June 6 at 8 a.m. at the Expo. The judges include local choreographers along with coaches and staff for the Red Claws.

To try out, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. It costs $25 to audition and a photo of the applicant is required for auditions. To apply, go to nbamaine.com. For more information, contact Abby Pierce at  apierce@maineredclaws.com
