Local players lead Southern Maine Flame team to tourney title

The U-16 Southern Maine Flame red softball team won the U-18 bracket of the recent Eric Whitten tournament at the Wainright Field Complex in South Portland. The team featured Ally Boyington and Lauren Nicholson from Cape Elizabeth, Alana Peoples from Scarborough, Katlin Norton from South Portland, Heather Fecteau, Sarah Gilblair and Kayla Daigle from Biddeford, Jen Fields from Windham, Julie Dursema and Abbie Hutchinson from Yarmouth, Amelia Hutchinson from Nobleboro and Sam Shildroth from Hollis.
