9/3 at 10:27 p.m. Donald R. Brown Jr., 45, of Freeport, was arrested by Officer Roger M. Moore on a charge of operating under the influence.

9/6 at 10:39 p.m. Jonathan C. Stinson, 27, of Portland, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence.

Shoo bat, shoo

8/31 at 8:12 a.m. A resident of Village Brook Road called police to report bats in their home. The animal control officer arrived at the house and removed the bats.

Tent capers

9/1 at 11:12 a.m. A property owner on Main Street removed tents pitched on his land. When the campers returned, they reported the tents stolen. The items were eventually returned to the owners.
