USM offering baseball clinic

The University of Southern Maine baseball staff will hold a first annual advanced baseball clinic Sunday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinic is for high school aged players who have aspirations of playing in college. The cost is $75. FMI, 780-5474.

Falmouth Youth Basketball Association registration upcoming

Registration for coaches and players for the Falmouth Youth Basketball Association 2009-10 travel season will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Falmouth High library. FYBA is a travel basketball program for 3rd-8th graders committed to the game. Practices are twice a week, with games on the weekend, an occasionally during the week, home and away. SailMaine is hosting its second annual Leafer's Last Leg regatta/SailMaine Soiree silent auction fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 17. Dozens of local high school sailors and seasoned sailing veterans will square off on courses outside Portland Harbor.
