Greely High School junior Hanna Willwerth, of North Yarmouth, spent her summer training to climb one of the most challenging mountains in North America, summiting the 14,420-foot peak of Mount Rainier in Washington state with eight other climbers. On Aug. 10, just days after her 17th birthday, Willwerth completed her goal of reaching the peak, more than twice the altitude of Mount Katahdin.
