Falmouth elementary PTO
launches donation drive
FALMOUTH — The Falmouth Elementary PTO annual contribution drive is currently underway now through May 2010.
The goal of this year's drive is to raise $15,000 to support academic enrichment programs, family-focused recreational and educational activities, parent education programs and teacher support at Lunt and Plummer-Motz schools.
A donation of $25 per child is suggested for families with students at Lunt or Plummer-Motz, but donations of any amount will be accepted and appreciated. All donations are tax deductible.
Checks may be made payable to Falmouth Elementary PTO and mailed to 192 Middle Road, Falmouth, ME 04105.

Hebson nominated to
leadership seminar
FALMOUTH — Falmouth High School has selected sophomore Catherine Hebson as the representative to attend the Maine Youth Leadership Seminar, a four-day seminar held in June at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.
Maine high schools are invited to nominate a sophomore student to attend the youth leadership conference every year.
Evan Eklund was selected as the alternate.
Mast Landing Math Team
takes second in meet
FREEPORT — The Mast Landing math team came in second place out of 33 teams competing in the fifth grade division of the Southern Maine Math Meet.
Math team member Isabelle McClelland finished second place out of 198 fifth grade students competing in the individual competition.
Coached by Karin Gamache, the Mast Landing math team members are: Isabelle McClelland, Willson Moore, Jay Pier, Maya Pierce, Ryan Rosado, and Bridget Tompson.
