Youth winter
concerts upcoming

YARMOUTH — The Greely High School Chorus and Madrigal Chorus will present a holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Main St., in Yarmouth.

The concert will feature John Rutter's "Gloria", with a brass ensemble, organ and percussion and many more seasonal favorites. There is no charge for admission, but donations are welcome.

The Wescustago Youth Chorale is performing "A Winter Concert" on Sunday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. at the Freeport Performing Arts Center, Holbrook St., in Freeport.

The newly expanded three-choir Chorale, comprised of 80 auditioned singers between the ages 8 to 19 from 10 area towns, are led by conductors Ann Dillon, Lise Dunn and Renovia Marro.

No. Yarmouth Penny Drive
to benefit Toy Fund

NORTH YARMOUTH — The fifth grade class of Jeff Brookes at North Yarmouth Memorial School is conducting a Penny Drive to benefit the Bruce Roberts Toy Fund.

Donations will be accepted at the school until Monday, Dec. 21 when the money will be counted and presented to the Toy Fund.

Freeport graduate to
perform in Dance USM!

GORHAM — University of Southern Maine student Laura Collard of Freeport is presenting a dance piece, "Breath," in an upcoming USM dance and theater showcase.

The USM's Department of Theatre's annual production, "Dance USM!," features five separate performance pieces by students and faculty choreographers. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. between  Dec. 10-12, and at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 at Russell Hall, USM Gorham campus.

The public is invited and tickets are $7 for students, $10 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $14 for the general public. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 780-5151.
