Richard Q. Storer, 85
YARMOUTH — Richard Quint Storer, 85, died Feb. 17.
He was born in Yarmouth on March 12, 1923, son of Raymond Edwin and Gladys (MacDonald) Storer.
Preceded in death by his wife Ruth, he is survived by his brother
He lived his entire life in Yarmouth, with the exception of a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy during World War II. A graduate of North Yarmouth Academy, he worked as a welder for Bancroft & Martin for 34 years.
He was very involved in the community, including serving on the Yarmouth Fire Department, a member and past commander of the American Legion Post No. 91 for over 60 years.
Throughout his life, he was an avid fisherman and spent countless hours along the Royal River with a fly rod in his hand.
He was predeceased by his wife Ruth.
Surviving him are his brother Harry Storer; daughter Susan H. Storer, son John N. Storer and his wife; and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., March 14 at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth.
