Letter: Cumberland Wood Bank success

I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to more than 50 people in the community who have contributed to the Cumberland Wood Bank this year. We have raised more than $3,000 in fuel assistance for those in need, in the greater Cumberland community. This was done through the generous donations of felled trees and firewood, the labor of those who like to help process and deliver the wood, as well as those who have purchased some of the firewood. All of the wood and funds raised are used for heating assistance within the community. We continue to collect, process, and deliver firewood as long as the weather permits. A little help from a lot of people has made it a fun and successful effort. We welcome anyone in the community who wishes to help. For more information, simply contact the Cumberland Congregational Church office at 829-3019 or office@cumberlanducc.org.
