Letter: Farewell from Freeport school chief

I would like to thank the citizens of Freeport for your support to education. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your superintendent of schools over the past five years. During this time the work of the schools has been productive, interesting, at times challenging, but at all times worthwhile.

Although their tenure has ended, you deserve to be proud of a professional Freeport School Committee – past and present – who care deeply about a quality education for all of our students. You can be equally proud of administrators, faculty and staff who work tirelessly for our children, and a community that works together in support of education.

The Freeport community embodies many people and groups working together for the benefit of all students. I wish you all success in this very important work in the future.
