Letter: Falmouth Flyer a community asset
As a newcomer to the state of Maine, the Falmouth Flyer bus has made it possible for me to become familiar with the area. I ride the bus to Portland to visit the museums, libraries, concerts and do volunteer work. The bus has given me a certain sense of independence and a better quality of life.
I am well aware that all riders do not live in Falmouth, but this is not a bad thing. These people come to shop or to work in the various stores. I am sure that business owners appreciate the bus service. It would be very shortsighted of the town to discontinue bus service at this time. It is an asset to the community, and it helps keep cars off the road.
