Letter: An independent for Nelson

As an independent voter, I will focus on choosing the best candidates across all parties this November. Maine is at a crossroads, and now, more than ever, we need strong, thoughtful, and competent leaders in Augusta. That is why I am voting for Mary Nelson for state representative for District 112.

Mary has been a leader in Augusta in promoting alternative energy, both for its environmental and its economic benefits. She has been a long-time supporter of schools, both to meet our moral obligation to educate our young and to make Maine economically competitive for the long term. And Mary understands that the biggest challenge that we currently face in our state is our stagnant economy. She is committed to creating an environment in Maine where businesses can thrive; where we can compete to attract new businesses, new industries, and new jobs to our state. A business owner myself, I know that Mary will work hard to ensure that state government is helping and not hindering Maine businesses.

Mary Nelson is a proven leader with a keen intellect and outstanding energy. I urge District 112 voters to join me in re-electing Rep. Mary Nelson.
