Arrests

9/6 at 6:31 p.m. Ralph Libby IV, 32, of Marcell Avenue, South Portland, was arrested by Harbor Master Al Twombley on a warrant.

9/8 at 11:41 a.m. Ryan Athearn, 25, of Mitchell Street, Westbrook, was arrested by Officer Kevin Conger and charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

Summonses

9/1 at 11:30 p.m. Daniel Moss, 19, of Foreside Road, Falmouth, was issued a summons by Officer Steven Townsend on a charge of sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

9/6 at 1:28 a.m. A female juvenile, 14, was issued a summons by Officer George Savidge on a charge of possessing liquor by a minor.

Trailers trashed

9/6 at 5:05 p.m. Police received a report that two construction trailers at a site on lower Blackstrap Road had been broken into and various tools had been stolen. Value of the stolen items was estimated at nearly $5,000. There are no suspects at this time.

Clothing stashed

9/7 at 8:36 a.m. A bag of children's clothing was found outside a MacCabe Road residence. After comparing the items of clothing with those listed as stolen from a car during a theft less than a half-mile away on Oakland Road, police determined the thief or thieves dropped the bag possibly while making their get-away. In this past week's police log, nearly a dozen burglaries/thefts were listed. Many were thefts of items from unlocked cars and police are advising residents to remove valuables from vehicles and lock their cars as well as their homes. Anyone who sees anything or anyone suspicious have been asked to call police immediately.

Horses 'catched'

9/10 at 3:02 a.m. Police received a call that two horses were running loose in the road near the corner of Blackstrap and Hurricane. Owners were notified and quickly rounded them up.

9/6 at 5:41 p.m. Extinguished unpermitted burn, Gray Road.

9/7 at 5:03 p.m. Fire alarm, Lantern Lane, Cumberland.

9/8 at 4:00 p.m. Motor vehicle crash, Maine Turnpike.

9/8 at 7:07 p.m. Fire alarm, Howard's End Drive.

9/9 at 6:55 a.m. Mulch fire, Route 1.

9/9 at 7:14 a.m. Mutual aid, station coverage, Topsham.

9/9 at 9:45 a.m. Smoke investigation, Johnson Road.

9/9 at 12:44 p.m. Fire, Governors Way Road, Topsham.

9/9 at 5:04 p.m. Vehicle fire, Bypass Drive, Topsham.

9/10 at 4:13 p.m. Battery leak in roadway, Babbidge Road.

Falmouth emergency services personnel responded to 20 calls for service during the period reported.
