Falmouth events aid Habitat for Humanity

FALMOUTH — Habitat for Humanity is is hosting two fundraisers in the area this week.

The first will be a teachers-versus-students basketball game at Falmouth High School at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 6. Fifteen FHS seniors will take on their teachers with Habitat for Humanity volunteers acting as referees. Donations for the cause are accepted at the door and there will also be a bake sale outside the gate.

On Saturday, May 8, there will be a two- and four-legged walk from St. Mary's Episcopal Church, along Route 88 to the Community Church and back, to raise money for the organization. The four-mile walk begins at 7 a.m. with a free pancake breakfast, and runs through 10:30 a.m., rain or shine. There will be a carnival for children and donations to Habitat for Humanity will be accepted.
