Arrests
7/16 at 1:15 a.m. Andrew Bean, 30, of Spring Street, Westbrook, was arrested at the Express Mart on Main Street by Officer Ryan Martin on a warrant.
7/17 at 2:55 a.m. Ray Yontz, 22, of Gray Road, was arrested on Whitney Road by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of habitual motor vehicle offender.
7/19 at 4:48 p.m. Luke DeRizzo, 26, of Pleasant Hill Road, Scarborough, was arrested on Gray Road by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a warrant.
Summonses
7/15 at 1:17 a.m. Turner Mather, 19, of Tenney Street, Yarmouth, was issued a summons on Blanchard Road by Officer Antonio Ridge on a charge of minor transporting liquor.
7/15 at 1:17 a.m. A 17-year-old Yarmouth boy was issued a summons on Blanchard Road by Officer Antonio Ridge on a charge of possession of marijuana.
7/16 at 12:45 p.m. Jonathan Woodbury, 24, of Sabatus Lane, Windham, was issued a summons on Route 1 by Officer Christopher Woodcock on charges of operating after suspension and possession of a suspended/revoked license.
7/18 at 10:08 p.m. A 17-year-old North Yarmouth boy was issued a summons at the Cumberland Fairgrounds by Officer Richard Brewer on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
7/18 at 11:02 p.m. Two 17-year-old Falmouth boys were issued summonses at the Cumberland Fairgrounds by Officer Rich Brewer on charges of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
7/20 at 6:29 p.m. Scott Crandall, 44, of Preston Way, was issued a summons on Lawrence Way by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of operating after suspension.
Correction
The Police Beat July 16 should not have included a summons to Brian Andrews. The summons report was due to a Cumberland Police Department software glitch.
Back to school
Officer Peter Volk has left the Cumberland Police Department in order to go back to school. Volk hopes to become a Physician's Assistant. He has been replaced by Officer Richard Brewer, who has been a part-time officer within the department for seven years, according to Lt. Milt Calder. Calder said that for the time being, no part-time replacement will be hired.

7/21 at 4:34 p.m. Vehicle crash with personal injury, Blanchard Road.

7/23 at 6:42 p.m. Smoke investigation, Blanchard Road.

The rescue department responded to 10 calls for emergency medical services during the reported period.
