Cumberland Police Beat: June 16
6/13 at 1:42 a.m. Christopher Palmer, 21, of Shaker Road, Gray, was arrested on Gray Road by Officer Christopher Woodcock on charges of operating without a license and operating under the influence.
6/14 at 12:43 a.m. Rachael Smith, 39, of Rowe Station Road, New Gloucester, was arrested on Gray Road by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of operating under the influence.
6/15 at 12:41 a.m. Lisa Burke, 46, of Portland Road, Gray, was arrested on Gray Road by Officer Antonio Ridge on a charge of operating under the influence.
6/10 at 5:24 p.m. Jordan Nielsen, 18, of Cumberland Road, North Yarmouth, and a 17-year-old Cumberland boy were issued summonses by Officer Tom Burgess on charges of operating all-terrain vehicles on a public way.
6/12 at 9:50 a.m. Rhonda Breton, 26, of Laurel Avenue, Auburn, was issued a summons on Gray Road by Officer Mark Austin on a charge of operating after suspension.
Banned 'til September
6/5 A little before 1 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism at Greely High School and issued summonses to two 18 year olds, James Richards, of Cumberland Street, Yarmouth, and Sean Gould, of Hillcrest Drive, Cumberland. Both were served criminal trespass paperwork which will be lifted Sept. 1 so one of the boys can return to school.
6/6 At about 5 p.m., a caller at the Cumberland House of Pizza on Gray Road reported that a man was acting strange in the restaurant. Police were not able to locate the man.
County can have 'em
6/8 Just after midnight, a driver heading north on Gray Road called to report that a teal work van was tailgating and tried to swerve into the caller's car. The caller said people in the van were throwing beer bottles, and a male passenger was hanging out the window. Police referred the call to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
6/9 at 3:03 p.m. Station coverage, Shaker Road.
6/9 at 11:09 p.m. Grass/woods fire, Gray Road.
6/10 at 4:20 a.m. Smoke in building, Butterworth Farm Road.
6/11 at 7:11 a.m. Gas detector, Summit Terrace.
6/11 at 8:36 a.m. Elevator emergency, Greely High School.
The rescue department responded to five calls for emergency medical services during the reported period.
