Topsham candidates forum to be held Oct. 21

TOPSHAM — The two candidates running for an open seat on the Board of Selectmen will be featured in a public forum on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The forum, hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Brunswick Area and the Topsham Public Library, will be held at Town Hall, 100 Main St., at 7 p.m.

James Morris, of Bradley Pond Road, and Donald Russell, of Winter Street, are competing to fill the seat being vacated by Selectman Michelle Derr. Morris serves on the Topsham Government Improvement Committee; Russell is on the Planning Board.

Audience members will be encouraged to pose written questions to the candidates. Residents unable to attend may e-mail questions in advance to lwvba@gwi.net.

The event will be aired on public access television.
