Bowdoin bounced back Tuesday witha  7-5 home win over St. Joseph's Tuesday to improve to 13-12. Brendan Garner's clutch two-run single in the seventh was the difference. The Polar Bears welcome Colby Friday at 3 p.m. Bowdoin then goes to Colby for a doubleheader Saturday.

Softball
Bowdoin's softball team split a doubleheader with visiting Husson Saturday (winning the first game, 7-2, before losing 4-2) and was swept in a twinbill by host Brandeis Sunday (7-4 and 5-4 in eight innings) to drop to 13-10 on the year. Monday's home doubleheader against the University of Maine-Farmington was postponed by rain to Thursday. Friday, the Polar Bears go to Bates. Saturday, they host Bates in a doubleheader, beginning at 12 p.m.

In the loss, the Polar Bears rallied from a 10-3 deficit, but couldn't finish the dramatic comeback. Cullen Winkler had three goals in the losing effort. Bowdoin (7-2 overall, 4-1 in conference play) hosted Endicott Wednesday (too late for this edition) and plays at Williams Saturday.
