Letter: Tepler for Topsham representative

Election Day is coming soon and I would like to express my support for Denise Tepler, who is running for state representative in House District 60. I have known Denise for 26 years and have seen her at work on a variety of projects, from raising her three wonderful daughters, to her involvement as a member of the School Board, to her column on healthy cooking. Several qualities have shown throughout everything I have seen her do: she’s smart, she listens to anyone who is willing to speak, and when she has a solution she is not afraid to speak her mind and take action.

As a small business owner with 17 skilled employees, many of whom live in Topsham, I have worked hard to maintain health insurance, decent wages, and stability over the years. Denise has always been concerned with our local employment base and has never failed to ask about how things are going. I feel that if we have Denise representing our town in Augusta that we will all have a strong voice that cares enough to speak up for better, more effective government.
