Land Trust to hold benefit race on Sunday

BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust will hold its sixth annual Race 4 Space fundraising event on Sunday, Sept. 19.

A four-mile road race begins at 9 a.m. at Livesay Field, at the corner of Middle Bay and Pennellville roads. Registration is at 8 a.m. The event also offers a one-mile run for youth and a shorter fun-run for younger children.

Nancy Pennell will also lead a 2.5-mile walking tour of the Pennellville neighborhood, a nationally registered historic district.

The four-mile race entry fee is $20. The guided walking tour takes place at 9:15 a.m. and costs $10, while the one-mile run at 10 a.m. and the fun-run at 10:15 a.m. are both $5. The family rate is $40. The event has a limit of 100 runners.
