Sagadahoc Dems to hold gubernatorial forum

BATH — The Sagadahoc County Democratic Committee will host a forum for all five Democratic gubernatorial candidates at the Bath United Church of Christ, 150 Congress Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27.

Sen. Seth Goodall, D-Richmond, will moderate the forum, which will provide people an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates. Area residents are encouraged to submit their questions in advance to the Sagadahoc County Democratic Committee by e-mail to lmorse@gwi.net.

The Democratic primary contenders are Pat McGowan of Hallowell, a former legislator, U.S. Small Business Administration regional director and commissioner of the Maine Department of Conservation; Senate President Libby Mitchell, D-Vassalboro; former legislator and commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development John Richardson of Brunswick; former legislator and Maine Attorney General Steve Rowe of Portland, and Portland businesswoman Rosa Scarcelli, whose background is in real estate and affordable housing.
