Snake in the grass
5/27 at 5:05 a.m. A Middle Road resident called police to report a man dressed all in black with his face blackened was crawling commando-style through the grass across the road. When the man, age 27, realized he'd been spotted, he tried to get away by bike. Police caught up with him at Nina's Variety, where he was trying to remove the black shoe polish from his face. When asked what he'd been doing, he said he was trying to sneak up to his girlfriend's house to spy on her through her windows. According to police, he stated he "really loved his girlfriend."
