PORTLAND — Drivers can expect detours and delays as the city does storm drain and utility work on two heavily travelled roads.

Starting this week, Canco Road between Reed Street and Wellington is closed to through traffic for two weeks. Residents will be allowed access from the Walton Street end of Canco Road.

The work is expected to take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Also starting Aug. 2, and continuing for two weeks, Capisic Street between Colonial Road and Macy Street will be under construction and closed to traffic while crews working 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to install sewer lines and work on utilities.

Drivers will be detoured down Lucas Street and Colonial Road to reach either end of Capisic.
