BATH — Conchita B. “Connie” Alley, 62, died Feb. 21 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born and raised in Ormoc, the Philippines, on Jan. 12, 1947, a daughter of Jorge Bulan.
While growing up, she enjoyed swimming in the Pacific Ocean and working at her sister’s sewing store.
She met Thomas E. Alley in Manila in 1968 and they married in Angeles City on Jan. 24, 1969.
On April 11, 1969, she moved to the United States and began her new life on Corliss Street in Bath.
For 15 years, she worked at Stinson Seafood.
She enjoyed music, dancing, bowling and treasured being a housewife and mother.
She maintained a lifelong love of swimming in the ocean and enjoyed time at the family’s camp at Sebago Lake.
She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Fortunado.
She is survived by her husband Thomas of Bath; her son Edward Alley of Lewiston; father-in-law, Albert Alley Sr., of Bath; sister-in-law, Cathy and her husband Rick Hart of West Bath, brother-in-law, Albert Jr., and his wife Betsy Alley of Newport News, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.
