PORTLAND — The public is invited to discuss the city’s new Comprehensive Plan at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Portland Public Library, 5 Monument Way.

The forum in Rines Auditorium will be led by city Planning Department staff and detail preliminary goals and recommendations, city spokeswoman Jessica Grondin said in a press release.

The new plan is intended to be a framework for development, land use, transportation and other elements of city planning for the next decade. It may be ready for review by the City Council and Planning Board in January.

More information about the plan can be found at bit.ly/2fvLbGn. City Senior Planner Christine Grimando also invites the public to direct questions or comments about the plan to her at cdg@portlandmaine.gov or 874-8608.
