TOPSHAM — Colleen E. Giroux, 72, of Topsham, died Oct. 4.

She was born Aug. 24, 1941, in Sherman Mills, the daughter of Leonard and Florence Frank. Giroux graduated from Morse High School in Bath in 1959 and attended the University of Maine in Brunswick.

She raised four children and worked for several local businesses over many years. She loved gardening and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Giroux, of Topsham; sister, Joanne Chateauvert, of Hallowell; brother, Leonard Frank and wife Jeanne, of Missoula, Mont.; sons, Michael Giroux and Joni Sansouci, of Topsham, and David Giroux and wife Mary Giroux, of Topsham; daughters Dianne Giroux and husband Marc Boissonneault, of Durham, and Donna Giroux and Bryan Hardacker, of Kennebunk; and grandchildren Christopher and Kevin Giroux, of Topsham, who brought much joy to her life.

Visiting hours were held Oct. 9, at Stetson’s Funeral Home, where a funeral followed with Father Normand Carpentier officiating. Burial followed at St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to CHANS Home Health Care, 60 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick, ME 04011.
