Lt. Will Owen, of Yarmouth Fire-Rescue, climbs the stairs at One Monument Square in Portland on Sunday as part of a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. About 60 participants, including two dozen firefighters from throughout New England, scaled 11 floors 10 times for a total of 110 floors – the number of floors at the World Trade Center – to commemorate the 343 firefighters who died In New York City on Sept. 11, 2001. The event raised money for the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation.
