HARPSWELL — Clayton H. Drake, 66, of Cundy’s Harbor, died peacefully at home March 28.

Born in Brunswick, Feb. 6, 1945, a son of Walter and Polly Toothaker, he grew up in Cundy’s Harbor and attended Brunswick High School.

Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing and lobstering in Casco Bay.

For several years he worked installing drywall.

He enjoyed hunting, freshwater fly fishing trips and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His father Walter predeceased him on May 15, 1992.

He is survived by his mother, Polly Toothaker of Cundy’s Harbor; three children, Kimberly Tanguay and her husband Jon of Harpswell, Tammy DeMars and her husband Steve of Cundy’s Harbor, and Clayton H. “Chipper” Drake, II, and his wife, Jade of Woolwich; the mother of his children, Janet Drake of Cundy’s Harbor; his sister, Martha York and brother-in-law, Harmon of Cundy’s Harbor; six grandchildren, Kailyn Tanguay, Drew Tanguay, Shane Tanguay, Kirstin DeMars, Taitum DeMars and Bradley Drake; several nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
