FREEPORT — The Maine Clammers Association on Saturday, Dec. 6, will host its fifth annual Santa Clam Supper at the Freeport Masonic Lodge.

The 4-7 p.m. fundraising event helps about 30-50 adults and 100 children in the area. Guests are asked to either make a monetary donation or to donate a new, unwrapped toy. Tara Coffin, wife of MCA President Chad Coffin, said around 100 people are expected to attend the dinner, along with Santa Claus, and that $10,000 is usually raised.

The steamed clam dinner is served with various sides, and there is also an option to have spaghetti. The cost per plate is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for children. For those who can’t attend the event, donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 26 in Freeport.
