SOUTH PORTLAND — The 51st annual Christmas tree sale held by the South Portland-Cape Elizabeth Rotary Club begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, in Mill Creek Park.

Club member Kathy Cotter, who is supervising the tree sales, said in a news release that more than 2,000 Maine-grown trees have been ordered. Most trees will be in the 6-foot to 8-foot range, but some shorter and taller trees will be available.

Proceeds from the Christmas tree sale help fund Rotary services, projects and programs throughout the year, including scholarships and the South Portland Food Cupboard.

Trees will be sold at the corner of Hinckley Drive and Ocean Street.
