The Wreaths Across America convoy arrives at Cheverus High School in Portland on Sunday. More than a dozen tractor trailers carrying Maine-made wreaths stopped at the school for a formal ceremony before continuing the annual trek to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, where the wreaths will be placed on veterans’ graves.

The ceremony featured a presentation by U.S. Navy veteran Robert Coles – a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor – and was attended by Gov. Paul LePage and his wife Ann LePage, who is accompanying the convoy of wreath-bearing trucks to Arlington National Cemetery.
