Cheverus senior Emily Turner, joined by her parents, Charline and Mike, and athletic director Gary Hoyt, signs her National Letter of Intent Monday, Nov. 14 to attend and compete in track and field at Boston University. Turner is a six-time Maine state champion and holds eight school records. Turner is the first female athlete in Cheverus history to break 60 seconds in the 400 indoors (58.47), the first to break 60 seconds in the 400 outdoors (56.57) and the first Cheverus female athlete to break 27 seconds in the 200 indoors and 26 seconds in the 200 outdoors. She is also the first state champion in the 100 and 200 in school history.
