BRUNSWICK — Cheryl Ann Desmond, 55, formerly of Sabattus, died  unexpectedly Sept. 18 at her home.

Born in Bath on Jan. 15, 1955, she was the youngest child of Joseph and Gertrude (Morang) Desmond and attended Bath schools.  

For 10 years she was employed at L.L. Bean, where she thoroughly enjoyed working.
 
Her favorite place was Popham Beach, and she enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards. She also loved animals, particularly her little dog Gertie.

A kind, generous and loving woman, she loved her family dearly, especially her granddaughter, Ryleigh.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Her survivors include her beloved friend and partner of 20 years, Patricia Doyle of Sabattus; her daughter Rhiannon Desmond of Jay; her granddaughter Ryleigh Entrott of Jay; her brother Albert Desmond and his wife Christine of Bath, and her sister Sandra Bouchard and her husband Paul of Brunswick; and four nephews and two nieces.  

Memorial donations can be made to Coastal Area Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011, or to a charity of choice.

Services will be private.
