CAPE ELIZABETH — The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust celebrated its 25th anniversary in November and announced that with more than $45,000 in surplus funds the organization will plan future land conservation projects.
CELT has permanently preserved nearly 10 percent of Cape Elizabeth since 1985 and its goal is to double the acreage preserved over the next 25 years.
The organization also announced a challenge grant, “$25,000 for 25 years,” that will provide up to $25,000 in matching funds for all new membership dollars and increased donations during the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2011.
