BATH — Cecil S. Mains, 70, died Feb. 24 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born in Bath on March 4, 1941, and was a son of Sumner F. and Arlene Hinckley Mains. He was educated in Bath schools.

Mains worked at Bath Iron Works and as a lobsterman before retiring.

He enjoyed his cat “Clyde,” playing cribbage, baseball tickets, watching old videos and listening to old time music. He was always helping his friends when he could.

Mains is survived by his companion, Connie Crouse, and her family of Bath and his many friends, especially his best friend, Ken, of Boston.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on March 3 at Sea Cliff Senior Center, 47 Floral St., Bath.
