The Casco Bay U18 boys’ hockey team reached the semifinals of a recent national tournament. Casco Bay was called last minute to fill in and went 3-0 in poll play, beating teams from Arizona, South Carolina and Washington state. In the quarterfinals, against a team from Alaska, Casco Bay won, 7-3. In the semifinals, Casco Bay ran up against nemesis Maine Moose, the team which beat them in the state championship series. Casco Bay rallied late to force overtime, but lost, 6-5.

The team consisted of: Dan Latham (Yarmouth), Theo Hembre (Falmouth), Brendan Hickey (Falmouth), Cooper May (Yarmouth), Jake MacDonald (Greely),  Marco Giancotti (Cheverus), Marcus Cady (Falmouth), Andy Moore (Greely), Michael Hatch (Cheverus), Jack Kidder (Falmouth), Ben Kennedy (Greely), Donato Tocci (Portland/ Deering), Keenan Gamache (York), Garrett Tracy (Falmouth), Sam Larlee (Falmouth), David Woodford (Cheverus), John McCauley (Cheverus), Louis Mainella (Falmouth) and Matt Kramlich (Greely).
