YARMOUTH — Carolyn O’Donnell McCallum, 80, formerly of Yarmouth, died Oct. 10, in Portland after a long illness.

She was born Dec. 13, 1932, the daughter of Roland M. and Lessie M. O’Donnell. After her graduation from North Yarmouth Academy she was employed with GMAC in Portland for many years. She was married to John W. McCallum for 55 years and together they made their home in Yarmouth until 2010.

She was a talented musician who played piano by ear from the time she was a young child and was thought to be a prodigy. She enjoyed her home, big band and music from “The Rat Pack” era and was a Boston Celtics and New England Patriots fan.

She was predeceased by her husband and her parents.

She is survived by several cousins. 

Her family and friends would like to thank the staff at the Barron Center for their kindness and her care these past few years.

A graveside service was held  Oct. 16, at Riverside Cemetery, Yarmouth with Rev. Philip Shearman officiating. Arrangements were by Lindquist Funeral Home.
