Cape Elizabeth volleyball coach Sarah Boeckel was inducted into the Stony Brook University Hall of Fame last weekend. Boeckel led her teammates to two ECAC championships and holds the school record for assists with 4,949.
“It was really nice, a great weekend,” Boeckel said. “I hadn’t been back in far too long. It was good to go back and see where it all happened. It was very a humbling honor. I felt the love.”
As a coach, Boeckel has led the Capers to a pair of state championships and is gearing up for a run at a third.
