Cape Elizabeth School Board elects Hubbs, Altenburg

CAPE ELIZABETH — Susana Measelle Hubbs and Heather Altenburg were elected chairwoman and vice chairwoman, respectively, at the School Board’s meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Hubbs is serving her second, three-year term on the board. She served as vice chair of in 2016 and 2017.

Altenburg was elected to her first term on the board in 2015.

Elizabeth Scifres was chairwoman for the past two years.

“I am very honored that my fellow board members have given me their trust and confidence to carry forward the progress my predecessor, Elizabeth Scifres, has enabled,” Hubbs said. “Ms. Scifres has led the School Board these past two years and has directly inspired me with her grace and passion.”
