9/16 at 5:08 p.m. Bernard A. Hewitt, 40, of Ocean House Road, was arrested by Officer Eric Fay on Route 77 on a charge of operating under the influence.

Summonses

9/18 at 11:16 p.m. Greggory Truman, 18, of South Portland, was issued a summons by Officer Jeffrey Gaudette on Route 77 on a charge of operating after a suspension.

Taxi scam

9/9  Police met with a resident of the Fowler Road area who reported an attempted money scam. After receiving numerous money scam phone calls from a person living in Jamaica, the resident reportedly turned her phone off and purchased a cell phone. Police report that a taxi cab driver was hired to go to the woman’s house to get her cell phone number. The driver was allegedly trying to get the woman’s number to give to a person who lives in Jamaica.
