Summonses

5/24 at 5:10 p.m. A 17-year-old was issued a summons on Spurwink Avenue by Officer Mark Dorval on a charge of attaching false plates. The juvenile was also issued a ticket for going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Lost and found

5/20 Police met with a Wells Road area resident around 6 p.m. regarding the theft of a bicycle. The bike was found the next day.

Trespassing

5/28 A little before 8 p.m., police responded to a vacant building on Scott Dyer Road for a report of subjects entering the building through the back door. Police found three people in the back of the building, but found no evidence of damage anywhere. Police issued criminal trespass warnings to all three and initiated contact with the owner of the building.

Slippery as an eel

5/23 at 8 a.m. An officer met with a Fowler Road area resident regarding a theft complaint. Items stolen included 14 eel traps valued at $35 each.

Up a creek

5/24 at 1:30 p.m. Police met with a South Portland resident about the theft of a canoe while at Great Pond. Police say a possible suspect has been identified, and are actively working on the case.

Fire calls

5/23 at 7:49 a.m. Fire alarm, Scott Dyer Road.

The rescue department responded to seven calls for emergency medical services during the reported period.
