Grandpa’s no fool

2/23. Police responded to a Shore Road area resident regarding a telephone scam.  The complainant received a phone call from someone claiming to be his grandson. The person said he was in a Canadian jail and needed money wired to him immediately for bail. The complainant hung up and confirmed his grandson’s actual whereabouts, which was not a Canadian jail.

There were 11 calls for emergency medical services from Feb. 23-28.
