1/14 at 4:30 p.m. Spencer Holt, 20, of Cape Elizabeth, was summonsed by Officer Jeffrey Gaudette on Starboard Drive on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Smash and grab

1/11 Police were notified that while a resident of the Mitchell Road area was parked at the old main gate at Fort Williams, an unknown person or people broke out the passenger side from the window and stole a purse containing money, credit cards and a checkbook.

1/7 Officer Gary Davis met with a Portland resident who reported that while parked on Shore Road at the entrance to Belfield, a person or people smashed the front passenger side front window and stole a purse containing cash, credit cards and a cellphone.

1/9 Sgt. Andy Steindl is investigating a case of stolen checks. A resident of Shore Acres neighborhood reported that stolen checks have been cashed. The case is under investigation.

1/13 Sgt. Kevin Kennedy met with a resident of the Starboard Drive neighborhood who reported a burglary. The resident claims a guitar and turntable are missing from the house. The case is under further investigation.
