Arrests
12/23 at 1:02 a.m. Christian Moyer, 18, of Rock Crest Drive was arrested on Mitchell Road by Officer Diffin on charges of operating under the influence, operating without a license in violation of restriction, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to report a property damage accident.

Burglaries
12/23 A resident of Two Lights Road reported the theft of a cellphone.
12/24 A snowblower was reported stolen from a residence on Ocean House Road.
12/25 K2 skis, bindings and poles were stolen from a vehicle that was reported missing from Scott Dyer Road. The vehicle was later recovered and the missing items were returned to the owner.
(Not) stuck on you
12/23 Police met with a resident of the Scott Dyer Road area who reported a magnetic sign was removed from his truck. The advertising sign was estimated at $30.
Welcome to the mainland
12/25 A resident of Vinalhaven visiting residents in the Scott Dyer Road area contacted police to report a missing vehicle. Between 3 and 4 a.m. the vehicle was reportedly found in a ditch in Yarmouth. According to police, the driver went off the road and walked to a nearby house to ask for assistance. The homeowner called the police. The vehicle was identified but police report the driver left the scene of the accident and do not know if there were any injuries.
