Arrests

8/7 at 4:31 p.m. Matthew B. Young, 21, of State Street, Portland, was arrested on Spurwink Avenue by Officer Ben Davis on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.

Bats move in, then out

8/4 and 8/5, no time reported. On two occasions, inside two houses on Mitchell and Brentwood roads respectively, bats were found. Residents of the Mitchell Road house found a bat in a child’s bedroom; the Brentwood Road house bat’s location was not disclosed. Both animals were captured and tested for rabies, according to standard procedure. Both tested negative, police said.

8/7 at 4:45 p.m. Ryan Weeks, 32, of Scarborough, was issued a summons on Spurwink Avenue by Officer David Galvan on a charge of failure to produce insurance.

8/7 at 2:50 p.m. Kathleen Curry-Sparks, 41, of Cape Elizabeth, was issued a summons on Shore Road by Officer David Galvan on a charge of failure to produce insurance.

8/12 at 9:47 a.m. Marcia Scott-Moody, 49, of Gray, was issued a summons on Ocean House Road by Officer Ben Davis on a charge of failure to produce insurance.
