CAPE ELIZABETH — Jeff Kline, a writer and producer of animated films and series, was the winner of a Daytime Emmy Award on Sunday as executive producer of the series “Transformers: Prime.”
Kline, 46, was among 11 producers and executive producers who won the Emmy for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program. “Transformers: Prime” is a computer-generated animation series airing on The Hub network, a joint venture by Hasbro and Discovery.
The series was also awarded a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation, and was nominated for Emmy awards in five categories.
Kline is a veteran writer and producer who lives in Cape Elizabeth and Los Angeles. He has contributed to more than 40 animated and live action productions.
