CAPE ELIZABETH — The Planning Board on April 23 unanimously recommended amendments to town zoning that will allow used car sales in the town’s Business A District on Shore Road.
Under current zoning, the sale of used cars is not allowed in the district. Cape Service Center, 560 Shore Road, requested the change.
The amendments backed by the board create a definition for a repair garage and then allow the sale of up to three cars at a time as part of the use, but only in the Business A District on Shore Road.
Town Manager Matt Sturgis said the recommendation will likely be considered by the Town Council in May.
