PORTLAND — The New England Cannabis Convention will be held in Portland for the second time from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the University of Southern Maine Sullivan Recreation Complex, 22 Falmouth St.

The convention, organized in part by the Medical Marijuana Caregivers of Maine, brings together caregivers, doctors and more than 60 local and national cannabis industry businesses, according to a NECANN press release.

The convention will feature panel discussions, features and workshops and a focus on state referendum Question 1, which would legalize marijuana use and sales for adults 21 and older.

NECANN co-founder Marc Shepard also announced there will be a vaping tent for licensed medical marijuana patients at Sable Oaks in South Portland. A courtesy bus will be available to those who want to use the tent.

Admission to the convention is $10. For more information, visit necann.com.
