PORTLAND — The Maine Freedom of Information Coalition sent pledge forms this week to every candidate for state office, asking them to support open government and public access.

The MFOIC will post the names of candidates who sign the pledge at mfoic.org.

The coalition, which is made up of media organizations, lawyers, academics, pubic policy groups and others, said in a press release this week that it will update its website through Election Day.
