SCARBOROUGH — Town Councilor Christopher Caiazzo, D-Scarborough, beat former legislator Linwood Higgins in a race to represent District 28 in the House of Representatives.
The seat represents part of Scarborough and is held by outgoing Rep. Heather Sirocki, R-Scarborough.
Caiazzo was elected with 2,783 votes, with Higgins, a Republican, trailing behind with 2,473, according to unofficial results.
